Kathmandu Valley:

as her own handiwork. Situated at an altitude
of 4’423 ft. above the sea level and covering
an area 218 sq. miles, it is a place that has
been a source of fascination to visitors over
the years.
The bowl like small mountain- sheltered Kathmandu
Valley is the historical center of Nepal and
the place where kingdoms rose and fell,
places and temples were build and rebuild, and
Nepalese art and culture were developed and
refined is equally religious.
Patan:

km away from Kathmandu city. Patan also known
as Lalitpur , is the city of fine arts , enclosed
within 4 stupas said to be built in 3rd century
AD , by emperor Ashoka. You will see the Durbar
square , the patan Durbar which hiuses a beonze
collection , the Krishna temple built by king
siddhi Narsingh malla , others temples are Hiranya
Varna Mahavihar & mahaboudha temple . A
trip to Tibetan Refusee camp & the handicraft
center will also be done while visiting Patan
, where you will witness the hand weaving of
Tibetan carpets & moulding of metal statues.
Patan locally referred to as Lalitpur and situated
at the south of Kathmandu is the second largest
town in the valley. Patan’s great building boom
took place under the Mallas in the 16th,
17th and 18thcenturies.
