Situated in Khumbu region, the pyramid shaped 23,495 ft. peak, Mt. Pumori dominates the skyline behind Kala Pathar (19,000 ft). The name of the peak was named "Pumori" by George Leigh Mallory, apparently means "Unmarried Daughter" in the Sherpa language. The best season to explore this stunning peak is September to November and March to May.
We'll climb following the southeast buttress in its lower reaches before traversing open snow-slopes to get to a Col to the East Ridge. When we talk about the condition of the route, we must say that it is mixed and varied and the ascend is not of high technical difficulty. At least three camps above the base camp are to be set-up in this expedition. The Base Camp will be set-up at 5300m altitude. The Camp 1 will be made at 5700m and the Camp 2 will be established at 6200m. Similarly, Camp 3 will be set up at an altitude of 6480m. Passing through crevasses, we climb up to Pumori cliff and then to the summit. Passing through Namche Bazaar (gateway to Mt. Everest), exploring 200 years old Tyangboche monastery, Pangboche monastery, and panoramic views of the dozens of great Himalayan peaks are some of the specialities of this expedition.
