Eco-Tourism/Trekking in Nepal

 

Our Journey starts in kathmandu a lively city, where ancient temples still dominate the shopping malls. The city rich in culture and is a place where the old blends with new.

From Kathmandu a bus takes us to the country side and the majesty nature of Nepal, to the (Town) villages where the trek begin.

You weak up and get your morning tea or coffee served in the tent, a bucket of hot water; a good break fast and the Himalayas will be waiting for you outside. Once you have filled your water bottle, the walk begins. We walk in a calm tempo, stop often to enjoy the mountains, forest, villages and temples.

We take great care not to harm the envirolment, nature and culture; we leave no garbage behind and leave each camping site as we found it. We do not cut down the trees for firewood, but use kerosene instead. Our guides as specialized in sustainable development and will explain not only about the culture, but also about social, economical and political situation of the villages we visit as well as whole Nepal.

Tourism is very important to the people in Nepal. Our Objective is to promote
Tourism with social cause by using porters and staff from the villages we visit, we make sure that local people are benefiting form the trekking. We also us a part of our perfit for sponsoring schools in the village we regularly come to.

Our company makes sure that our staffs are well cared for. We provide insurance policy for our staff in addition to the good salary and equipments.

Trekking is suitable for everyone, young or old, adventures and nature lovers a like. The Himalayas offers easy routes as well as challenging trails.

We will take you snowy mountains, green valleys and remote villages to the core of Nepal and Himalayas.

Panch Pokhari Trek

Panch Pokhari is named after 5 holy ponds and Hindus religiously respect the place. This is just northeast of Kathmandu toward snow wall. The beautiful Himalayan view and pristine nature with distinct culture is the most attraction of the trek. After we eat breakfast at the restaurant near by our office, we take a bus ride out of the Valley and up through the hills. After 5 hours bus ride we arrive at the trek starting point called Chautara. We are going to spend the first night of our outdoor adventure right nearby small town in a ground. Our Guide gives a short lesson of trekking on the first night. He also explains about the altitude sickness and all the beautiful spots from where you can see an excellent view of mountains.

During the rest of our 12 days trip, we observe the different ways of life, culture and come in contact with the people in the small village, passing through the dense forestations and meadows. The top of Panch Pokhari (5 lakes) offers an excellent view of Jugal himal range, rolwaling range, Gosainkund etc. On the last day of the trip we take a bus ride back to Kathmandu from Melamchi where we spend the final night of our trip.

Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu check in at the Hotel.
Day 02 City tour visit both Buddhist and Hindus temples
Day 03 Kathmandu (1350m.)-Chautara (1200m) 5hrs bus ride.
Day 04 Chautara-Phusre (2045m.) 5.30hrs.
Day 05 Phurse-Kami kharka (2845m.) 4.30hrs.
Day 06 Kami Kharka -Pauwa Bas (3000m) 6hrs.
Day 07 Pauwa Bas-Hille Bhanjyang (3400m) 6hrs.
Day 08 Hille Bhanjyang - Nasim Pati (3700m.) 4.30hrs.
Day 09 Nasim Pati- Panchpokhari (five lakes) (4100m) 4hrs
Day 10 Panchpokhari- Nasimpati (3700m.) 3hrs.
Day 11 Nasimpati-Dukang (2100m.) 6hrs.
Day 12 Dukang - Dhap (1200 m): 6hrs.
Day 13 Dhap - Melamchipul (800m): 6hrs.
Day 14 Melamchipul Bazaar - drive to Kathmandu, 4.-5hrs bus drive.
Day 15 Kathmandu – Visiting projects, temples & shopping.
Day 16 Kathmandu – Departure

Note: * The departure schedule can be change on any unavoidable circumstances such as weather hazards, natural changes of walking track, road slides, and avalanches, public strikes.

Ganesh Himal
Eco Trek (off touristy region)

The central eastern region of Nepal is one of the most isolated and least explored area Nepal's Himalayas. Only a few foreigners are explored in the recent years. This region offers spectacular views, untouched natural splendor and wild and friendly inhabitations

The Ganesh Himal is named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune. The Ganesh Himal can clearly be seen from Kathmandu Valley. The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, and Ganesh IV) stand out like crystal that is the "Great Himalayan Chain" forming the skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Buri Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli Khola in the lower section.

Starting from: Betrawati after riding 5 hours drive from Kathmandu
Ending at: Golabhanjyang, 6.00 hrs drive to Kathmandu.
Grade: Moderate to Strenuous.
Highest access of the trek: Singla-la Top (4400m) or Sing-la Top (4600m)
Culture: Mixed :( Brahman, chetris, kami, damai, sarki, gurung, tamangs, magars etc)
Mode of trekking tour: Camping only
Himalayan Sight: Ganesh Himal Range, Lantang Range, Annapurna south etc.

Most Attraction of the trek: : Being closer to Ganesh Himal, real Nepalese life observation, and no lodges and off the beaten track

Day-by-day program

Day 01 Arrivals in Kathmandu check in at hotel (after rest we show you bit around thamel)
Day 02 City tour visit Buddhist and Hindus temples. (As Kathmandu is temple of the city) and guide and Guest meeting.
Day 03 Kathmandu - To Betrawati, aprx.height 8.50m. (5 hours drive). North of Kathmandu via Trishuli Bazar (Shoping centre for local people, mix caste people from different village, Small River in the camp site)
Day 05 Betrawati - Kispang (aprx. height 1850m.); 6 hours walk. (Steep up, mix village, farm and Shaal forest)
Day 06 Kispang - Thulo Chaur (aprx. height 2350m.); 5 hours walk. (Great tamang culture, village, School, Monastry, stupa, farm, waterfall)
Day 07 Thulo Chaur - Gonga (aprx. height 3000m.)4 hours walk. (Nice and deep mix forest, Animals)
Day 08 Gonga - Rupchet (aprx. height 3800m.); this is the base camp of Shing La Top; 4 hours walk. (Deep rhododendron and pine forest, good chance to see the animals including monkey, great Himalayan chane of Langtnag and Tibet range.
Day 09 Rupchet - Shing La pass (aprx. height 4400.) or Sing La Top (aprx. height 4600m– Cherma (aprx. height 2900m.); 7-8 hours walk. (High top, early moring Singla for Amazing Mountains view with sunrise, deep forest)
Day 10 Cherma - Meyghang (aprx. height 2300m.) 6 hours walk. Nice forest, nice tamang village, great Mountain View and farm.)
Day 11 Meyghang –Tharpu or Sally (Aprx height 1900m) 5 hrs. (Nice terrace farm, mix caste village, local shoping place, Mountain View) .
Day 12 Tharpu or Sally -Jyamrung (Sharabensi) (aprx. height 900m.); 5 hours walk (great, mix village, nice farm)
Day 13 Jyamrung (Sharebensi) stay local house, teaching in school, working with local people as their daily activity, fishing, swimming as you like.
Day 14 Jyamrung (Sherebensi) –Jyamrung Durbar (Old king palace) (aprx. height 1800m.); 2 hours walk. Village, local shopingtown, old king palace, Mountain View, celebrating last night.
Day 15 Jyamrung Durbar-Golabhanjyang (1 hrs walk) –Kathmandu, 6 hrs drive.
Day 16 Visiting project, Shoping or Sightseeing
Day 17 Departure .
